Apologies if already posted but this makes me mad :

Quote:
The boss of collapsed Christmas hamper firm Farepak, Sir Clive Thompson, has been holidaying in Argentina's capital, Buenos Aires, with his wife Judith.

They flew to Argentina earlier this week on £8,000 first-class tickets for a two-week holiday.

The news comes as more questions emerge about Farepak's collapse and the whereabouts of £40m of savers' money.

Sir Clive seemed unperturbed by the controversy as he strolled through the city's plush shopping malls.

Tanned and relaxed, he told the BBC: "I've made a statement to the press which has been widely publicised."

"I'm now looking forward to the Department of Trade and Industry report because I think the DTI report will show the complete truth - and that's the only comment I have," Sir Clive said.

'Shameless'

Sir Clive refused to answer any more questions as he entered the luxury Alvear Palace Hotel, where rooms, each with a personal butler, can cost £2,500 a night.

The couple are not expected back in Britain until later this month.

The Commons leader, Jack Straw, earlier called Sir Clive's comments about the collapse of his company "shameless".

Labour MP Jim Devine called him "the unacceptable face of capitalism" and said he was unworthy of his knighthood.

Mr Devine has also called for an inquiry into the company's collapse, which saw more than 150,000 customers, mainly on low incomes, lose their savings.

The Swindon-based company went into administration and ceased trading last month with no offer of compensation.
