Anne Snelgrove MP challenged the Minister to make sure vouchers are
delivered to Farepak victims in Swindon by Christmas:
In a House of Commons speech last night Anne said:
"Farepak agents in Swindon are concerned that they have not yet received
any vouchers from the Farepak response fund. I hope that the Minister
will be able to confirm that all is going to plan and that every effort
is being made."
In response Ian McCartney MP said:
"I noted what my hon. Friend said about the situation in Swindon and I
give her a commitment that I will check that as a matter of urgency.
However, the first packets were sent out on 5 December and I understand
that all the packages have now gone out for delivery, a week in advance
of the target date of 18 December."
Anne Snelgrove has spoken to Ian McCartney's office today she said:
"People can go to the Family Fund website and key in an agent number, it
will tell them when the vouchers are being dispatched. If anyone has not
received their vouchers by the end of this week I will take their case
to Ian McCartney MP directly."
