Just had a reply from Argos this morning in reply to my enquiry if they were going to be helping those affected....this was the reply....

Whilst we are entirely sympathetic at the position you are now in to the
bankruptcy of the company; we are unable to deal with individual requests like
this.

However, as a company we are looking at a way of helping everyone who has
suffered due to these consequences. This is currently being investigated and we
will be in contact once and if we are in a position to offer more information.

Maybe...just maybe a glimmer of hope ??!!! If they contact me again, I will post their reply. Keep up the good work everyone :D

Thats good news Kirst - unfortunately, I can see problems already as many don't have a payment card.

I would imagine a copy of your statement would be fine, more concrete than a payment card anyway.

When I heard the answer phone message telling me that I would receive no refund I was devastated. I went on to rip up all my farepak papers in temper hoping it might make me feel better. I had no idea that companies and other people would offer help.
How would I receive an argos booklet without proof? I have 2 young children and my vouchers and food hamper were stolen from me, any sort of help would be brillliant but without paperwork I can't do anything. When I threw it all away I honestly thought that after hearing that horrible and straight to the point message that was the end of it.
I recieved my claim form today and thankfully my agent number is on the letter, but I have no statement to include. All I can do is explain how angry their thoughtless message left me (with no hope).
Anything I can do?
