Well guys we are coming up to the 1 year anniversary of Farepak going into administration. I am doing everything I can to highlight this fact in the media and have several fantastic sources who are willing to highlight this again.

I am basically posting here to ask you if you were involved with your local media then please contact them again and ask them to run an updated story.

It is important that people do not forget that we have came along way since Friday 13 October 2006. It is important to remind people (who do not have internet access) that the fight still goes on.

As it stands, we are still in administration but are looking to move into liquidation very soon. Once in liquidation the liquidators have far greater powers. I can say (without breaching my confidentiality agreement) that it is highly unlikely that customers will see the approx 4.74 pence in the £ dividend this year and this is something you can take to your local media.

It is also very important (in my opinion) to highlight the fact that we have moved on and the introduction of the CPA can allow the prudent savers to save in a safe way once more. My comment on this is as follows:-

I am delighted to tell you that the introduction of the new Christmas Prepayment Association (CPA) means that you can now return to a reliable, fun and sociable way of saving for a debt free Christmas. In my capacity as Director of Consumer Affairs at the CPA, I will be responsible for looking after the interests of the people I care most passionately about...the consumers...and furthermore, playing a vital role in promoting consumer awareness of the fact that the industry has now become as safe as it can possibly be."
Suzy Hall

If you did have local media contacts then please contact them re the anniversary and ask them to follow the story up.

I have not given up on the 128,000 or so "victims" of Farepak and urge you to do the same.

Suzy x

Is the CPA website up and running yet ?

We could send a link with a covering e-mail to every news-agency we can.

Just a thought, that way we could white-wash all of them :D

The CPA website is still to be fully constructed Tracey. We are in the process of agreeing a Code of Practice which we are having looked at by solicitors and the OFT.

It would be a nice opportunity to publicize it, If it still isn't fully up and running maybe you could put something together for us to send on, a kind of press release/statement about what it is really about.

Are Park planning anything ?

The anniversary is a time when a lot of people will think 'This time last year' and it is an opportunity not to be missed IMO.

A great time to reassure people.

Spoke to Gill today - she has not been on much because her PC is running a bit slow. Anyhow she has been contacted re the anniversary and is gonna speak to the lady later tonight so good news on that front.

I am doing pretty well with the major newspapers and have one tv station and 2 radio stations already so if we get pushing the local news as well and local radio I reckon that would be a great idea.
