Have we forgotten the old principal of a man being innocent until proven guilty, all these people baying for blood are to me destroying some of the basic principles we should all cherish in this country. ps. I am not a Jim Devine fan, but I think we should let the authorities do their work first.

Your right of course John and i do personally try to give the benefit of the doubt, take people as i find them ect. Jim Devine maybe proved innocent or guilty on this occasion but his previous shows of personality, morals and behaviour (none of which are media based), stand before him and that is for me, the greater indication of the man in question.

John you are right - guilty until proven innocent. I just find it astonishing in the case of Jim that an electrician who is either "dead or up North........." did the rewiring for him. Tony Moran originally did "no work" for him which has now been changed to "work in London" and how on earth would he fit approx 267 feet of shelving into his London flat  and more to the point what the heck would he need it for

Yes Sharon I know where you are coming from and indeed as do a lot of others and may go a long way to why he is being vilified now, and so he must now reap as he has sown.

Apparently he met with his local labour party yesterday and they have backed him due to the fact he produced a letter from Tony Moran saying he DID do work for Jimbo - yet this is the same Tony Moran who stated to the Herald he DID NOT do work for Jimbo

That said he can still face deselection this week !! Apparently from reading the blogs two of his staff have tribunal claims lodged
